Biography:

George Thompson Jr went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2023 while at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

On November 11, 1937, George Thompson Jr was born by the union of Irene Blocker and George Thompson Sr. in Blythewood, South Carolina. He was the eldest of his two siblings: James Thompson and Mary Moss. They later moved to New York and lived in Brooklyn for a while and settled in Harlem.

As an adult, he was enlisted in the US Air Force. While still active, he married his first wife, Louise Thompson, in 1963, upon introduction by his sister, Mary Moss. This union produced Todd and Sharon Thompson. He also cared for Louise's older children Lorraine and Leonard Kirkland.  

In 1994, George fathered Tyrone Thompson with his second. Dad loved sports, primarily football. He is preceded in death by his second wife, Pearl.  Louise went to be with the Lord a month after his passing, on July 12, 2023.

He leaves behind his only sister, Mary and her son Alexander Howardand his wife Lesley, two sons Todd and Tyrone, daughter Sharon, grandchildren: James Smith, Tamiya Thompson and Kenleyrei Spivey, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
