Morris Phillips, more known as “Uncle Bo” to family and friends was born in Branchville, S.C on February 27th, 1942 to the late Julius Phillips and Rannie Jenkins. He was called home on June 4th, 2023.
Morris was educated in the public school system of South Carolina. At an early age, he decided to relocate and soon found his love for cooking.
Morris relocated to Atlantic City, N.J where he became a chef. He later moved to Brooklyn, N.Y and that became his home. Shortly after his move, he became a butcher and lastly, he retired as a truck driver.
Some of Morris’ favorite past times were cooking, taking walks and talking on the phone about the “old days”. His favorite sayings were “THERE IT IS” or “THATS ON THE MONEY”
Morris “Uncle Bo” Phillips will be missed dearly by many. Although he had no children, he considered his nieces his children and their children were his grandchildren.
Morris leaves to cherish his memories, his brother Jeremiah Phillips (Martha). A host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, relatives and friends.
