Biography: Renee Susan Mitchell was born on September 23, 1961 in New York City. She passed at Harlem Hospital on April 22, 2018 at the age of 56.
She was a native of New York where she attended St. Thomas Aquinas Grammar School and Harry S. Truman High School. She went on to receive an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Renee loved spending time with family and friends. She was a free spirit who enjoyed traveling and who loved children.
She is survived by: her mother, Wilhelmina Darby; her sister, Dorothy Darby; brothers, Lewis (Lauvicer) Darby, Michael (Julie) Newkirk and Kenneth (Danielle) Newkirk; uncle, Paul (Doris) Darby; aunt, Flossie Darby; 5 nieces, Rochelle Cobb, Pameline Darby, Caprice Nelson, Willa Newkirk and Kora Newkirk; 5 nephews, Nathaniel Darby, Jason Gamble, Javon Newkirk, Langston Newkirk and Ellison Newkirk; 6 cousins, Jay (Marilyn) Irick, Pamela Darby, Valerie (Anthony) Rainford, Darryl Darby and numerous grand nieces and nephews and cousins.
