In loving memory of Beverly Washington, who passed away at the age of 72 on [Date] at Bronx Care Hospital after a courageous battle with illness. Born on April 12, 1951, in Harlem, NY, Beverly was the beloved daughter of the late Thelma and Willie Washington.

Beverly was a trailblazer in her family, becoming the first to complete high school and attend college. She held positions at Con Edison and the Department of Social Services, showcasing her dedication to service and community. A smart and kind individual, Beverly lived her life on her terms, embracing challenges with resilience.

Her life was marked by a mantra she lived by: "put an H on your chest and handle it," a philosophy that exemplified her strength and determination. Beverly leaves behind a legacy of fortitude and independence that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Beverlee Franceschi, son-in-law Quinn Franceschi, and two adoring granddaughters, Tania and Taylor. Beverly's impact on the lives of her family and friends will forever be cherished. May she rest in eternal peace.

We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life, we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
